Veterans and Family Members in National Cemeteries
On September 11, 2001, terrorists flew commercial airliners into the World Trade Center buildings, the Pentagon, and downed Flight 93 in a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania. There were 2,977 American lives lost, almost 600 more than Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. NCA holds the remembrance of 9/11 as a sacred trust to always honor.
Forty-one Veterans and six family members of Veterans were laid to rest in national cemeteries. These Veterans honored below have links to their memorial pages on the Veterans Legacy Memorial (VLM) site. Those family members found to be eligible for burial and honored below, have links to their national cemetery pages. VLM memorial pages will be created upon the passing and interment of the family member's Veteran.
We invite you to remember these Veterans and visit their memorial pages where you can post tributes (comments), upload images, and share biographical information, historical documents and more.
